Meet the Owners
Cara was taught to knit by her aunt at the age of 10. Each Thanksgiving her aunt would help her complete a new project. This instilled a love of the craft in Cara, a love she has passed down to her oldest daughter who was 8 years old when Revival Yarns opened. Cara is a Georgia native (with a brief hiatus in Texas). In addition to previously teaching kindergarten, Cara also owned her own cake business, so keep an eye out for her delicious baked goods during First Friday Open Knit sessions.
Lindsay taught herself to knit in 2003 as a freshman in college. A California native, Lindsay moved to Athens in 2012. Missing her knitting/crochet community out west, she started a knitting group in her new neighborhood as a way to meet other fiber enthusiasts. It was this inspiring group that eventually led to the creation of Revival Yarns.

Our focus is on natural fibers that are both soft and sturdy. We LOVE wool, but also carry cotton, linen, alpaca, washable wool, and blends containing silk and cashmere.
We are also happy to offer a selection of locally farmed fiber!
Community
Revival Yarns isn’t just a store, we strive to make it a community! A place to forge fiber friendships and learn from each other! Join us on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm for our weekly craft night!
